I am a fully Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. I am also recognized as a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I work with clients 13 years of age and older and have experience working in individual, family and group settings. My experience lends expertise in the areas of eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression and adjustment issues. I take an empathic and integrative approach to counseling, most frequently utilizing cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and trauma informed therapies to meet the unique needs of each of my clients.

I have presented professionally on the topics of eating disorders & body image disturbance, eating disorders & substance abuse, and teen suicide prevention. I have belonged to a number of professional organizations, both past and present, including the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association, the Michigan Counseling Association, the National Eating Disorders Association, and the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I am also a past member of the Academy for Eating Disorder’s social media committee. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about cheering on my Tennessee Volunteers and spending time with my husband, twin boys & two silly dogs.
