Brief info

Alyssa is a Clinical Social Worker and a University of Michigan alumni. Alyssa utilizes many therapeutic approaches to connect with her patients on their path to wellness.

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here! I am a clinical social worker who specializes in eating and mood disorders. In session, I play off of many different therapeutic approaches, including Family Based Treatment (FBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

For many of us, the relationships we have with food and our bodies are among the most complex relationships we have. As a therapist, I offer a safe, compassionate space for you to explore your relationship with food and your body.

Whether you have navigated through life with depression, anxiety, or an eating disorder; or you are experiencing for the first time, recovery can be a scary thought! I believe the most important part of recovery is feeling validated and understood by your therapist, in order to best collaborate on your path to peace and wellness – whatever that looks like for you.

Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two huskies, Roscoe and Niko. In my spare time, you can find me traveling to sunny places or poorly serenading my friends to my own renditions of classic Taylor Swift songs.
